NO! You Do Not Have to be Blind or Legally Blind to Have Low Vision. Patients Who are Blind Have No Usable Vision. Most Patients Who are Legally Blind Have Usable Vision.
WHAT IS LOW VISION?
Low Vision is when a person has visual acuity that cannot be corrected to 20/20 with normal glasses, contacts, medical treatment or surgery and/or a reduction in Peripheral Vision that cannot be compensated for by the patient (TBI/Stroke).
